The Butterflies is part of the Birds & Butterflies Series

Description

Cpost International is proud to present this captivating series of six birds and butterflies stamps. Our goal was to feature some of the most iconic native birds and butterflies on a total of twelve postage stamps. Each stamp is a work of art, carefully crafted with multiple layers: the backdrop, a layer with delicate white transparent images, the layer featuring the vibrant birds and butterflies, and a final layer of text. The backdrop is thoughtfully designed to transport these beautiful creatures into a picturesque landscape. The horizontal color patches, punctuated by white stripes, evoke the sense of a horizon, with the succeeding color patches reminiscent of land, sea, and sky. drawing inspiration from the pastel hues of Curacao’s colorful houses.

Our 77c stamps introduce you to the Blue-Tailed Emarald and Cloudless Sulphur, while Cat. 1 Stamps showcase the brilliant American Flamingo and the graceful Monarch Butterfly. We’ve chosen animals with deep, vibrant colors, creating a stunning interplay with soft pastels in the background. This mesmerizing contrast continues in the Cat. 2 stamps, which feature the brown-throated Parakeet and the Orcus Checkered-Skipper. Turning to our 372c stamps, you’ll be charmed by the Bananaquit, known for its melodious songs and sweet preferences, alongside the Hanno Blue. Our 534c stamps proudly display the Northern Crested Caracara, affectionately known as “warawara” in Curacao, and the painted Lady, One of the most widespread butterfly species in the world. Lastly, our 843c stamps offer you a glimpse of the Roseate Spoonbill and the enchanting Passion Butterfly. The Birds and Butterflies stamp series is the creation of the talented Martine den Boer from Studio Excello.
