Description

Cpost International is proud to present this emission of six stamps dedicated to the Western part of our Beautiful Island of Curaçao, “Bándabou”. This area is known
for its rugged landscapes, secluded beaches, and stunning coral reefs. In the Bándabou area, tourists can find a tranquil and authentic Caribbean experience.
Each stamp captures a unique aspect of Bándabou’s natural beauty. The 77c stamp showcases the stunning Santa Martha lagoon. Grote Knip, or Playa Kenepa Grandi,
featured in the Cat. 1 stamp is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing, with crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and a backdrop of
rocky cliffs and lush vegetation. The Cat. 2 stamp showcases ‘Landhuis Savonet’, one of the oldest and most well-preserved plantation houses on Curaçao, now a
museum and cultural center. The 372c stamp highlights the popular hiking destination of Christoffelberg, standing 375 meters above sea level and offering
panoramic views of Curaçao and the surrounding Caribbean Sea. The Tree of Life, featured in the 534c stamp, is a symbol of resilience and strength, surviving in a
secluded area near the mountainous region of Jeremy and Lagun. The tree stands surrounded by rocky cliffs and rugged terrain, making it an impressive sight to
behold. Finally, the 834c stamp depicts a hiking trail near Ascencion, known for its stunning trails winding through the rugged terrain and offering breathtaking
views of the natural beauty of the island. The Bándabou series were designed by Mr. Max van Aalst. A residence of bándabou and nature lover.
