Cpost International is dedicating these stamp series consisting of 6 stamps to a marvelous creature, DOGS. Dogs (Canis Lupus, Carnivourous Mammals) is the most versatile animal. There are several breeds, that range in size, weight, coat type, color, tail, ears, temperament and attitude. Dogs have a lifespan of 13 years and communicates through scent, body positions, movements, facial expression and a cacophony of sounds. They have also different roles, they are protectors, guardians, hunters, rescuers and guides. But the most important role of the dog is that they are Man’s Best Friend, a valuable companion, a gift from God, a life partner, they love us uconditionally and accept us as we are. The partnership between mankind and dogs has lasted through the ages.

The stamps depicts the following breeds:

86c stamp Chihuahua
The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dogs and is named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. Chihuahuas comes in a wide variety of sizes, head shapes, colors, and coat lengths.

119c stamp Dachshund
The dachshund also called Teckel is a short-legged, long-bodied and muscular dog breed with short, stubby legs, belonging to the hound family.

177c stamp Schnauzer
The Schnauzer is a dog breed that originated in Germany in the 15th and 16th centuries. The term comes from the German word for “snout” and means “moustache”, because of the dog’s bearded snout.

183c stamp Yorkshire Terrier
The Yorkshire Terriër is a small dog breed of terriër type, developed in the 19th century in the county of Yorkshire, England, to catch rats in clothing mills.

305c stamp Mopshond
The Mopshond also called Pug is a breed of dog with a wrinkly, short-muzzled face and curled tail. The breed has a fine, glossy coat that comes in a variety of colors, and has a compact square body with well-developed muscles.

434c stamp King Charles Spaniel
The King Charles Spaniel also called Toy Spaniel, actually got its name because it was the lap dog of choice for King Charles. They are the ideal house pet. They are sweet, gentle, and playful. The King Charles Spaniel also loves to explore, sniff and chase.
