About December Stamps 2015 It’s November and this means the Christmas and New Year Holiday Season is quickly approaching. Many are thinking about this joyous time of the year and everything related to it. During this time, not only is it customary for families and friends to get together to share a special meal, but usually they exchange gifts. To express the joyful anticipation of this special time of the year, the designer used the portrait of five happy and cheerful children. Cpost International takes this opportunity to wish you and your beloved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Joyful New Year 2016.

Stamp 65c
This stamp is dedicated to creative Christmas decorators in Curaçao, a clasical Christmas scenario with a Curaçao twist.

Stamp 86c
This stamps illustrates the arrival of a container ship in our famous haven, refers to the way we import our Christmas trees.

Stamp 119c
When thinking of Curaçao we often forget about the tiny uninhabited island south-east of Curaçao in the Caribbean Sea, which is also part of the Island of Curaçao. That is why this stamp is devoted to this interesting rock in the sea. With its lighthouse, which is prominent on the stamp, shone on by the Bethlehem star.

Stamp 177c
Santa Claus will have a rare treat to travel with this year; bright light powered by a rare full moon on Christmas Day. It will be the first full moon on Christmas Day since 1977. NASA reports that the next full moon on Christmas won’t come until the year 2034! Also, our goats (Curaçao’s national symbol), with their excellent coordination and night vision, will take over in the Caribbean this year.

Stamp 183c
A continuation and clarification of the first stamp were the imported Christmas trees are brought ashore in shipping containers. This stamp is giving the insight in this Christmas business.

Stamp 305c
December is not only about Christmas but also about wrapping up the year and preparing for the year to come. In Curaçao each year ends with a big firework show in the harbor, best viewed from the 27 year old Queen Emma pontoon bridge. On this illustration the fireworks are complemented by the iconic silhouette of the Juliana Bridge.
